Jesus Wants to Come to You!

As the disciples rowed across the Sea of Galilee, a storm arose.  During the height of the storm, Jesus came walking across the water to meet them.  Today, during the storms in your life, Jesus wants to come to you.

His Mercy Endures Forever

In Psalms 136, we can clearly see that the psalmist is trying to get a point across to us.  Each and every verse ends with the phrase, "His mercy endures forever".  That is very true God's mercy does in fact endure.  Time after time we have failed Him but because of His mercy, He is faithful and just to forgive us.

It’s Time to Awake!

Paul warned the church at Rome to not fall asleep or get wrapped up in everyday life that we forget about God or His calling on your life.  We have to focus on Him and His purpose instead of the busyness and confusion of this world.

Let the Wind Blow, part 2

As Moses led the Hebrews out of Egypt, Pharaoh began to chase after them.  Soon, the Hebrews were trapped between the Egyptians and the Red Sea.  However, God sent a wind of deliverance and parted the sea so they could escape.  Today, whatever your problem, God will send that wind of deliverance to you and make a way of escape for you.

Let the Wind Blow

In his vision, God showed the prophet a valley full of dry bones and told Ezekiel to prophesy over the bone and command them to come to life.  So many of us today are like those old dry bone.  We have been beat down and given up because of the storms of this life.  Today God is wanting to breathe life back into you.  Let the wind of the Holy Spirit blow over you today.

Mid Week Devotional

The secret to a happy life is trusting in the Lord.  He is always there to lead us and guide us.  Our Heavenly Father wants nothing but the best for us.  We just have to learn to trust Him in every area of our life.

We Gotta Get it Together Part3

Today God is calling us all to return to Him.  He is seeking those who will look only to Him and who will let go of this life and surrender completely to Him.  Will you return to our Heavenly Father today?

No Other God…

Our God is the same God as was in the beginning.  He has not changed and He still wants us to serve Him and only Him.  We don't have room in our lives for anyone but Him.

If my People…

Back after Sept 11,2001, the churches were full.  People were crying out to God.  The country was returning to him.  However, 20 years out, something has happened.  We have forgotten God.  We are worse off now compared to then and we need to follow the promise found in 2 Chronicles 7:14.

We Gotta Get it Together (Pt 2)

Last week we discussed the move of God that will soon be here and how we needed to seek God.  However, there is more to the equation.  Not only do we need to seek Him, but we must live the righteous and holy  life the he requires of us.  If we are living like the world then this move of God will pass us by.

We Gotta Get it Together

A move of God is coming to the land.  We are going to see signs, wonders, and miracles come and countless will be saved in this last great outpouring.  If we are going to be a part of this then we are going to have to be prepared.  We are going to have to seek God with all that is within us.

Be Bold

We need the boldness of the early church!  Be bold and be strong.

The Flipside of Fear

As the believers prayed for boldness, the Holy Spirit fell upon them and signs and wonders followed them.  Today we need to cast aside all fear and ask God for that holy boldness in Him so that we can go forth and stand strong, stand bold and proclaim Jesus to this world.

You are Annointed!

Christ stood in the synagogue in His hometown and read a portion of scripture from Isaiah 61 and thereby proclaimed the purpose for His ministry.  Today, you have the same charge as Him to preach the gospel to the poor, to make blind eyes see.  Yes, you have that same annointing.

Overcoming Fear

God never intended us to live a life filled with fear.  Countless times He tells us to fear not and to be strong.  That is a command and one that we must obey.  Today, stand and be strong and lay all your fear down.

Trust > Fear

Fear cancels out our trust and a believer should allow it into their life.  Fear should never enter our thoughts.  Fear should never dictate our actions.  Fear should never come out of our mouth.  Trust cannot thrive where fear is alive!  In other words, trust and fear can never co-exist.  Trust is always great than fear.

Where Are the Josiahs?

Even at a young age, King Josiah realized that his nation had turned from God.  The young king sought after God and began to point his subjects back to the Lord by repairing the Temple in Jerusalem and ridding the nation of all the idols and altars.  Today, we need some people like the young king to stand strong and bold by seeking the Lord and pointing people to Jesus.

Reaching to Jesus

Jesus encountered the man with the withered hand and commanded him to reach out his hand.  When the man obeyed, his hand was made whole.  We need to be reaching out to Jesus today.  We need to reach out to Him not only for our needs but because of who He is.

Hope for us All!

As Jesus and the Pharisees discussed work on the Sabbath, little did they know that the prophecy of Isaiah in Isaiah 42:4 would be fulfilled.  The prophet revealed to us that the Messiah, Jesus, would be the hope for all the world.  He is the hope for us all!

No One But Him

God was warning Israel through the prophet Isaiah about their idol worship.  During this time, Israel had turned from God and worshipped idols and built altars dedicated to them.  God told them to remember the former things and return to Him.  Today, that same warning is still valid for us.  While we may not worship idols, there are plenty of things that we put before God.  We must cast those aside and put God first in our hearts and our lives.

Sow the Good Seed

Sowing and reaping or harvesting if you will, is a basic biblical principal.  As the old saying goes, we reap what we sow.  It is not more true than in the spiritual sense.  We must go about sowing good seed.  We must be doing God's work by sowing seed unto Him and if we do we will harvest beyond even our imagination.

Who Shall I Fear?

In this last speech to the Israelites before his death, Joshua implored the people to remember the great things God had done for them and to leave false gods and idols behind.  The same call goes for us today. We need God in the forefront of our lives, not playing second fiddle.  We serve an awesome God and we need to put him first in word, in deed, and in thought.

Shut the Front Door!

In today's message we examine the sin of King David.  How did this happen?  Why did he let it get so far?  Simply, he left the door open to temptation.  When temptation comes to us we need to shut the door to it lest we give in to it like David did.

Put It Down

In Isaiah chapter 57, God, through the prophet Isaiah warned the people of Israel about their constant worship of false gods and idols.  He showed them that this act was a grave sin and continuing to do so would result in dire consequences.  These idols are material things and easily destroyed but God is eternal.  Today, are there idols in our lives that we need to put down?  If so, we need to return to the one true God.

Walking in the Fire

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abendego were thrown into the blazing furnace for not worshipping the golden image.  However, when the king looked into the furnace he beheld four men walking around in the fire describing the fourth as being like the Son of God.   Yes, the three men were unharmed in the midst of the fire because they were in the very presence of God.  Today, you and I can walk in a different kind of fire, the fire of the Holy Spirit.

Standing Through the Fire

Shadrach, Meshach and Abendego refused to bow before the image the King had erected, instead they stood.  They stood strong before this evil king.  They even stood bravely in the face of the blazing furnace.  These three men stood up for God when all others bowed.  Today, we need to stand up for our Lord.
