Who Are You Looking For?

Passage: John 20:15-16, Hebrews 13:5, Matthew 28:20

Early that Resurrection morning, Mary Magdelene and other women went to the garden tomb where  Jesus was laid to prepare His body for burial according to Jewish custom.  However, then they arrived the tomb was empty.  They thought that someone had came and stole His body.  That was not the case.  After the other women left and the disciples, Peter and John had departed, Mary stayed behind weeping.  You can imagine she was devastated.  Mary, once again entered the crypt and this time 2 men in all white were there.  As she entered they ask, "Why do you weep?  Who are you looking for?"  She replied, "Tell me where you have taken Him."  Mary turned and left the tomb when she encountered another man.  Now, she thought this man to be the gardener and He spoke to her asking once again, "Why do you weep?  Who are you looking for?"  Again Mary answered, "Tell me where you have taken Him and I will go get Him."  In her heartbroken state she had no idea who she spoke to, until, that man called her name.  "Mary" He simply said.  When she heard that, her eyes were opened and she replied excitedly, "Master".

Today, many of us are looking for something.  We spend our lives seeking that thing to fill our souls.  However, just like Mary, that which we are looking for is right in front of us.  That is Jesus!  He is ALIVE!
