Bear Much Fruit

In Jesus final hours He left the disciples with a very important kingdom fact.  In verse 1 of John 15, Jesus explains the relationship we have with Him.  He states plainly, He is the vine and we are the branches. He goes on to state that we, as the branches are to bare much fruit.  Any branch that is not productive will be cut off, but branches that are bearing fruit must be pruned to enable them to bare more fruit.  Today let the master gardener work on you.  Let Father God trim away all the things that is stopping ...

Receive!

God has so many blessings stored up for His children.  It is true.  However, to many of us fail to receive them.  It is the same thing at Christmas, your birthday or any occasion that you may get a gift.  It is there for you, the giver is holding it out for you but it is not yours until you reach out and take it.  Today, reach out and take those things God has for you.  Reach out and receive!

Who Are You Looking For?

Early that Resurrection morning, Mary Magdelene and other women went to the garden tomb where  Jesus was laid to prepare His body for burial according to Jewish custom.  However, then they arrived the tomb was empty.  They thought that someone had came and stole His body.  That was not the case.  After the other women left and the disciples, Peter and John had departed, Mary stayed behind weeping.  You can imagine she was devastated.  Mary, once again entered the crypt and this time 2 men in all white were there.  As she entered they ask, "Why do you weep?  Who ...

Lets Get Excited

Palm Sunday.  This is the day we remember the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem.   Here we find Jesus riding on the donkey that He had earlier sent the disciples to get.  Jesus rode this animal down the road to the city to celebrate Passover knowing it would be His last here on earth.  However, along this road people were camping awaiting to enter the city to celebrate and worship at the Temple.  Soon, the people noticed Jesus and began to praise and worship Him as a chorus.  They got excited for Jesus!  We need to do the same.

Hold Nothing Back

Annias and his wife sold a parcel of land and told the apostles that they were giving the complete sell price.  However, they lied and held part of the money back.  Today many of us do much the same thing.  We say we have surrendered our life to Christ yet we are holding part back.  Could be a secret sin or a habit we hold onto.  Whatever it is we need to take it and lay it down at the cross and give our whole selves to Jesus.

The Best is Yet to Come!

In John 2, we see the account of Jesus turning the water into wine. When the wine ran dry, Jesus had the servants take the water vessels and fill them with water. They did so and Jesus then instructed them to draw from them and take to the governor of the feast. After tasting they governor exclaimed, you have saved the best to last. Today, Jesus wants to do the same for us. He has saved our best days until now. Jesus wants to take our ordinary and make it extraordinary!

It takes a God kind of faith that Jesus demonstrated.   There is a huge difference in having faith in God or having faith of God.  That same faith of God is a supernatural type of unwavering faith.  That kind of faith is there for us.  We just have to dig deep within us, find it and put it to use.
